Jeff & Jenny

Hello extended family,

We are excited for some upcoming adventures in the lovely state of California. Jeff's company is having him work on a project out of their Walnut Creek office, and since they need him there so much we will all move down in June when school's out. The company is renting us a place, so we'll leave our home here, and have one year to experience of much of the state as possible. I like to think of it as a super-long vacation with Walnut Creek as our base camp.

Anja runs about the house, obviously in charge. She gives all-or-nothing to her brothers; marvelous hugs or bats them away with a screech. We've been learning a few signs to help with communicating. She does shoes, eat/drink (she combines the two), and more---which looks like shoes.

Carson is an ecstatic four. He sings all day, every day, whatever song he's chosen to grind into our brains. We love his smiles and creative play and the way he says, "Oohh, Baby Anja!" He is very proud of growing up and being able to speak clearly, reminding me that he used to say "old dolt," but now he says "adult."

Tucker has been sucked into a few chapter books lately, despite his protests that he hates the long ones. In the middle of a Boxcar Children mystery he said that he loved reading a book because it was like your own movie.

Caleb is preparing a monologue he will perform with his acting troupe this Spring. He enjoys the games they play (I think they are supposed to be teaching them about acting). He's interested in so many things. I'm surprised we already have to say no to some extra activities because his schedule is already full. Believe it or not, he's drawing trains still, and with more detail than ever. They're fantastic!

We wish you all the best this lovely Spring and Easter season,
Jenny, Jeff & family

Awesome that you're moving to Walnut Creek! We'll be neighbors -- we'd love to show you a few places around the area -- it'd be fun to get together! Glad you're coming this year while we still live here in California.
