Jason & Becky

Hello and welcome to the End of Limbo. Yes, you heard right, we are no longer in Limbo and are moving on to the next stage of our adventure . . . Change. For those of you who may be a little confused, this past year has seen us waiting for many things to happen and trying to get to where we are now. The biggest change: we are now, finally, homeowners. Yes, many of you may have thought we bought a year ago, that’s because we started looking then and were in contract on five different houses; each one falling through after hope then frustration followed by headache. (I don’t recommend it.) Our new home is exactly what we need (we always want more) and we will be happy here for many, many years (at least five). We moved in on Presidents day and still have not unpacked most of our boxes, but we have time. Our new address is 310 East 100 North, Hyde Park, Utah 84318 (New Phone Number – 435-563-6775). Hyde Park is a few minutes/miles north of Logan and is very small. It could almost be considered a suburb of Logan, if Logan were bigger. We have already met most of our neighbors (half of them helped us move in) and know we are going to fit right in and love it here.

The other major change; Jason was officially accepted to the Masters in Accounting program at Utah State this past week. Yes, this is very different from previous directions, but if you want the whole story, ask. In a nutshell, this change has been a couple years in the works and just last year I started the process to get in (talk with school advisors, get finances/work situated, arrange prerequisite courses, take the GMAT, apply etc.) I will be taking classes only part-time, so I will likely be in school 3-5 more years, but working full-time, having a family and other time-consuming activities will make this time fly by.

Speaking of time-consuming activities, we are involved at yet another theatrical production at the Old Barn Community Theater, Beauty and the Beast. Starring Becky as Belle. I play most of the supporting roles, ranging from prince stand-in, wolf, knife, villager and whipping boy during the mob. I officially have more costumes, and twice the costume changes, than Becky (that’s a first). The show runs weekends (Friday, Saturday and Monday nights) through the month of March, closing on March 29th. For more information: oldbarn.org. We are looking forward to this coming year (or more) of change as we transition into being permanent residents in a community, figuring out what to do with our 0.36 acres of paradise, beginning a new chapter in education and deciding what other crazy things we can get mixed up in.
