Hello, family!
I am so excited to start my adventure for this year! I leave in two days to go to Nauvoo. I'll be in the first week of the pageant, as part of the family cast. I know it will be great experience! As soon as I get home, I leave for a family vacation with my parents. As soon as we get back from that, we head to the Tomlinson reunion. What a month! It will be fun and exhausting.
Life is good - I still teach at Mountainville Academy and am involved in the occasional community theater production.
Daniel is still my 'housemate' in Pleasant Grove. He attends the local Singles Ward, and I'm in the family ward. I was released from the Young Women Presidency in December, and in January I was asked to be a Webelos leader. Me: a Cub Scout leader. That has also been an adventure for me...
Enjoy life!
Love, Heather Tomlinson

Hey all,
Life is a little crazy for the Jason Tomlinson family. As many of you may have heard, we bought a house in May and we have been working on it, in our free time, ever since. Although, having four kids and other life responsibilities makes "free" time a scarce resource. We are grateful for wonderful family and friends who have been able to help us out. We bought it with the thought of doing a "few" things before we moved in, which (of course) expanded to "one more thing...." We plan to move in by mid-July and then you are all welcome to visit anytime.
Other than the house, there is not much new in our lives, so I will keep it short this time.
The girls had their first ballet performance in June, Swan Lake, which was a success and they are excited to start another session of lessons at the end of the summer. It is good to see them involved in something they love.
David is having a blast with numbers and math, creating long math problems to solve. We had to discuss 'Order of Operations' yesterday and show how the answer is different if you do the multiplication first before the addition. It sure is fun rediscovering the learning process with my kids.
We love to hear about everyone and it is fun to see you on occasion.
Thanks,
Jason & Becky Tomlinson

Dear Family,
It feels like things are happening fast in our family. Kevin returned home June 4. The last 1 ½ months of his mission he got a new companion and was called to be a district leader for the second time. He continued to leave a musical spiritual message occasionally at some of the homes they’d visit…. Kevin would play the piano and his companion would sing. At our sacrament meeting when he gave his homecoming talk, he accompanied Alan and Daniel as they sang “Come Ye Disconsolate” which they did beautifully and really added to the spirit of the meeting. It was wonderful to have so much support from family and friends of Kevin at both the “Welcome Home Party” for him Saturday night and then the next day at church.
It was also very nice to be able to attend John & Sharron’s ward where they both gave excellent talks at their “farewell.” It was fun for me to visit with so many old friends after the meeting… like a mini ward reunion. We enjoyed the continued visiting when we went over to John’s home afterward. I love occasions like this that draw our family together.
We are very proud of Penny in graduating from Utah Valley University the end of April. She’s our 5th college graduate!! She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health.

Daniel grew out his mustache and beard on purpose so he could be in the final casting in May of the Church’s Bible videos. He said it took a couple of days and that the whole experience was worth it. Since then he’s trimmed his facial hair, but now he’s waiting to see if he’ll need to keep it or shave it for “The Scarlet Pimpernel” which will be performed in August at the outdoor Scera Schell theater in Orem.
| Hooray! It is here!!! |
| Can't wait to open it! |
Marcus is working at Little Caesars, making pizza. He’s hoping to continue his schooling at Salt Lake Community College this fall.
Jason and Becky have been working all during June to prepare their new home to move into next month. We’ve all helped them somewhat with a variety of jobs, but especially Heather, Kevin, Marcus, and Ariane. When they haven’t been working at their other jobs, they’ve been doing a lot of cleaning, priming, and painting. You may have seen the “before” pictures Becky posted on facebook awhile back, but just wait until you see the “after” pictures of their new house! You’ll be amazed.

It was wonderful being with Mom and the mission homecoming of Kevin and farewell for John and Sharron. What a great weekend that was. I’m very proud to be a Lindgren.
Bryan enjoyed his byu-efy week at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City special edition. Thanks to Dorothy for keeping Mom’s family of dolls updated to the 81st great-grand child. Thanks to John Lindgren and John and Emily Anderson for their help when my car over-heated. Thanks to Yorgasons for charging my phone. Thanks to Jennifer for calling me from Juneau, AK while on a cruise and making me wish I was with her. Thanks to Steve, Rick and Reba being with her – somebody had to do it. Thanks to Ammon and Angela for connecting with James on his way to process fish for Peter Pan in Dillingham, AK. Thanks to Jim for being with Hyrum at a recognition event for his scholarship from the Johnson Foundation. Thanks to Emily for feeding my kids. Thanks to Dorothy and Alan for hosting a party where we could all visit. Same to John and Sharron, it was great seeing cousins and people that meant so much in our growing up years. Thanks for being family and loving me and mine. I love you all. ~Priscilla
p.s. Just a bit about the kids at home. Krista called while I was in Utah to tell me she is now a horse owner. She enjoys riding with Ryan Slone and his family.

Bryan has a job lifeguarding at the city pool this summer as well as teaching swim lessons. He is also learning to use light and sound systems for the high school auditorium as well as the city park (for Thursday night’s Music in the Park). He is looking forward to soccer camp at Dixie College in St. George, playing soccer, being Junior Class Secretary, and being in Madrigals.
Hyrum is working at McDonalds and is very excited about being a Sun Devil (ASU student) at Barrett’s Honor College starting in August. He was awarded the Johnson Foundation Scholarship as well as ASU’s Presidential Scholarship. He is joining Navy ROTC and is applying for their scholarship as well.
Next school year Jim will be teaching junior high social studies in Tuba City which is on the opposite side of the Navajo Nation as Window Rock where he just finished his first year of teaching school.
Some people I greeted and visited with last weekend included: cousins Bob, Diane, and BettyLu and their families, Tomlinsons, John Lindgrens, Marty Lindgrens, Andersons, Yorgasons, Karl Thomas, Kim Watts, Stan Wells, Rose Ostler (Steve was there), Barbara Briggs, Bishop Scharmann, McGuires, Eriksons, Spencers, Terry Johnson, Sis. Seguin…
