Hi Family,

Happy Mother's Day everyone!! We hope you all have had an enjoyable day.

We had an awesomely fun time last night at The Eagles concert!! We went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse and then over to the new Rio Tinto stadium for the show. The new stadium is where REAL Salt Lake Soccer plays now in Sandy, right across from Jordan Commons. It was the first concert there ever, and it was the last stop for the Eagles on their American tour before they head to Europe. It was outside, but the weather was nice and in the 50's, and best of all no rain! We went with some friends to celebrate my birthday ( since I had to work on the night of my real birthday this helped make up for it). We had a great time, and they put on an awesome concert despite looking a little gray these days. In fact, Glen Fry joked and said "Welcome to the Eagles "assisted living" tour." They can definitely still perform, and sang songs from their solo days as well. We danced a ton and they played for a good long time. We were deaf and had laryngitis when we left.... so, signs of a good one for sure.

I have good news to share, Travis is now officially POTTY TRAINED!!! I love my life. Now the only diapers I have to change are the ones at my work. The non stinky tolerable ones. We started getting serious the day after he turned 4 last month, and there was no turning back. He's done really well, and is very proud of himself. For his birthday, we went to the zoo in the afternoon, and saw "Monsters Vrs. Aliens" that night. It was the beginning of almost a week of partying for my kids for Spring break. We went to the park a few times, played at friends, went to the aquarium, and ended it by going to the planetarium to see the newest "Deep Sea 3-D" IMAX movie.
(Sea Dragons are awesome).

Casey's lacrosse season is over now, and we're actually all sorry to see it end so soon. It has been a lot of fun for him to play, and for us to watch. The next thing on his agenda is looking forward to the end of Junior High! (actually his mom is the most excited about that), getting a learner's permit, working up at Camp Tracy again (this time by choice), Pioneer Trek, and EFY. He has a full summer ahead.

Mitch is pleased to announce the earning of his Weblos Badge, religious knot, and the receiving his Arrow of Light award at last month's pack meeting. The ceremony was pretty cool, as the Indian Chief dipped his scarf in "eagles blood", lit it on fire and looked on as the flame went out again without actually burning his scarf. I guess this meant he was telling the truth about him being worthy of such an honor. The kids in the room were actually silent for 5 minutes as they looked on in awe.

We attended a really cute end of the year Kindergarten program of Alyssa's this week in the kiva at her school. She sang, recited poems and danced. I took the Grandmas to watch, and we had a really fun time, as did Alyssa doing the performing. She loves it.

Last but not least, we had a really nice time up in Boise last weekend visiting Lucy and her family for Kristen's baptism. It was a great visit, but a little too short. Congratulations to Rachel who tried out and made cheerleader again for next year!

Wish us luck over the next couple of months as we try to finalize our house plans, as we finally get going on our house project! We have a lot of work ahead of us, but I know it will be worth it in the end.
